PlateauTec's PMS deployed to Bashtil - Upper Egypt train station

The Bashtil - Upper Egypt train station is a newly inaugurated railway station located in Bashtil, Giza governorate. It serves as a major hub for citizens traveling to and from Upper Egyptian governorates, aiming to alleviate congestion at the Ramses Train Station. The station is strategically positioned between Ramses and Giza railway stations, forming a junction for Egypt’s main railway lines, including Aswan, Alexandria, Imbaba, Manashy, and Qabbari. The station is built over an area of 60 feddans, with the main building covering 31,000 square meters

It includes 11 platforms and is expected to serve 250,000 commuters daily. The station features 184 electronic gates, including 14 for disabled people, surveillance cameras, a multi-story parking lot, commercial shops, and a shopping mall. The station is linked to various public transportation systems, including the West Nile monorail, the third metro line, and bus services on the ring road

This system ensures detailed data recording and automatic charge calculation, enhancing the safety and efficiency of on-site vehicle management.

Entry Process

At the parking lot entry point:

1. Ticket/Card Generation: A machine generates a ticket or card with the press of a button.
2. Time of Entry Record: The vehicle’s entry time is recorded via visible timestamp, QR code, barcode, or digitally on the card’s magnetic strip.
3. Access Credential Presentation: The parker presents their access credentials at the entry box or control pedestal.
4. Approval and Recording: Once approved, the transaction data is recorded in the parking management software, and the barrier gate opens.

Exit Process

Upon exiting:

• Barrier Operation: The barrier gate opens when the user inserts a card into the machine, or a sensor scans the ticket.

Detailed Software Features

The software component of PMS includes several key functionalities:

Login:

• Username and Password: Input your username and password to log in. Each user has specific permissions. The admin username is “admin” with a default password of “123456”.

Cashier:

• Focus on Ticket Field: Click on the ticket field to focus.
• Scan QR-Ticket: Use a QR-reader to scan the parker’s ticket.
• Display Ticket Data: The system displays the ticket data and the amount due.
• Collect Payment: Collect the amount and press the cashier icon.
• Subscription: Convert a ticket into a membership account by clicking “Subscribe” and filling in the member’s data.

Membership Form:

• Fill Member Data: Include all member data for VIP access via plate number scanning or standard card scanning.
• Mandatory Fields: Ensure plate number and membership number are provided.
• Save Data: Click “Save” to store data in the PMS database.

Members:

• Select Member: Click on the member’s row header.
• Add Voucher: Create a new voucher by clicking “Add voucher”.
• View Vouchers: Display the member’s vouchers and their details.
• Pay Voucher: Settle the voucher’s charges by clicking “Pay voucher”.

Users Management:

• Display Users: Click on “Display All” to view all users.
• Edit User Data: Modify user data and save changes. Update passwords if needed.
• Set Permissions: Assign permissions to users and save.

License:

• Activate Application: Click on the “License” button and fill in the form with your license details.
